After a 20+ year career in marine research, I began seriously making furniture on a limited commission-only basis in the late 1990s while still working in the sciences. I launched my second career, furniture designer/maker, as a full-time endeavor at the beginning of 2001. I operate a one- man shop located in Felton, California, in the heart of the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains, convenient to both the Monterey Bay and San Francisco Bay areas. Pieces of my work are installed in private collections across the US and have been shown in retail and gallery spaces on both the East and West coasts.
